Default Disney VHS

I once owned most of (if not all) of the Disney animated classics on VHS.

Then when DVD came along, I gave all of my VHS copies away (except for "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Little Mermaid").

Then when Blu-ray came along, I gave away (or sold) all of my DVDs.

Now, with the mess that is digital/streaming, it's got me really missing the old classic, warm, nostalgic feel of the VHS tapes.

I'm setting out to rebuild my Disney VHS collection. Hopefully I'll be able to add at least 2 or 3 tapes to my collection each month.

This is going to be so fun! These films (especially the VHS editions) were such a huge part of my childhood.

My first 2 additions to my "new" collection are "Pinocchio" and "Robin Hood".

Found "Bambi", "Cinderella", & "Lady and the Tramp" on eBay for a great price. Though not still sealed, these look to be in really good condition so I couldn't pass it up!

The artwork on these VHS covers is some of Disney's best.

It was always such a treat when my mom would let me buy a new movie. Just opening up the clamshell and seeing all the ads and pamphlets inside the case was fun. I was like a kid in a candy store.

Being able to open these sealed tapes will be like reliving the past. Can't wait!

I have been a collector of Disney VHS tapes since I was a kid and the first one I got was The Little Mermaid and I don't think it works anymore but it's the one with the explicit cover that's the collectible version then I have the original Beauty And The Beast and the 1995 version of Cinderella and the original Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Sometimes I find Disney VHS tapes in thrift shops and recently I got the 1990 Peter Pan VHS and The Great Mouse Detective too and The Fox And The Hound. Once I upgraded to DVDs the VHS tapes went to the garage and I still have them today

Back when I was young, I enjoyed watching Snow White, Pinnoicho, The Lion King and Oliver & Company on VHS. It was an good memorable experience.

I'm actually surprised that my copies of "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast" still play really well considering how many times I played them years ago (at least 2 times a day!). The cases are pretty beat up but the VHS tapes still play very well.

Collecting these VHS tapes, again, has made me a Disney fan all over again!

Fantasia
The Hunchback of Norte Dame
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Why does the original VHS version of Pinocchio say that it was the last time in the century it was offered? Was the original VHS version of Pinocchio sold in limited copies when it was rereleased in the 90's

It was basically a lie.

Also, the sticker on Fantasia says "final release"...
