Post Special Guest Stars...

While watching repeats of Cheers on N@N and my WB affilliate in NY, I've noticed several actors who made guest appearances on the show. At the time, none of them were very well known. However, years later went on to be stars themselves.

Here's who I have:

1. Leah Remini(King of Queens)
2. Fred Dryer(Hunter)
3. John Mahoney(Frasier)
4. Michael Richards(Seinfeld)

I know there were others, I just can't think of them at the moment. Any ideas?

How WRONG is it that John guest starred on CHEERS when Frasier said his father was DEAD, just to play his FATHER on Frasier a few years later?!!?!??

And apparently Roz has a twin sister that lives in Boston. LMAO.

Lilith: I mapped out our dominant and recessive traits on a genome square, applied Mendel's laws, allowed for anomolies, and concluded that you are the best biological choice.
Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'.
Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship.
Frasier: Would we sleep together?
Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm.
Frasier: Is that a yes or a no?
Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate.
Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you.
Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go!

Well, they wrote it off on Frasier that he was angry at his father that week, that's why he told the gang his father was dead. I was just bring up the irony that at the time, he said his father was dead, yet there he was, sitting right beside the man who was SOMEONE ELSE, yet would eventually be his future father. The irony just got to me.

I dunno, perhaps my sense of humor is as pathetic as Lilith's?

I just saw Julia Duffy guest starring on "Cheers" last week as a college friend of Diane's. I was never allowed to watch Cheers when I was a kid, but I did grow up watching Julia Duffy on "Newhart". And from what I've heard, she was the second choice to play Diane. Also, um, Max Wright (I think that was his name) played a politician Diane supported in the 4th season, and he was on ALF later. Barbara Babcock, who was later on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman", and that's all off the top of my head.

Oh, one more! Lisa Kudrow guest starring as a girl who Woody's acting in Our Town with. Also interesting, considering she was originally cast as Roz in "Frasier".

I must be a very odd child, because I was allowed to watch it. LOL! I also watched Friends from the beginning, (it started when I was in 5th grade) and a lot of my friends weren't allowed to watch it. My mother didn't agree with things on there, but she trusted me enough to watch I guess. LOL!

The irony that I'm always told my maturity is well beyond my years, because today I was getting my nails done, and the guy told me I looked 14/15! I was so completely insulted. I have a baby face, but never have I been told I look THAT young. I was sporting some major cleavage too. I usually get told I look 16. The guy could barely speak English, maybe he didn't mean it. LOL

So... I look much younger and act much older... isn't there a happy medium?

Speaking of Night Court:

Speaking of Guest Stars, did you know that John Mahoney is british? I found that out on IMDB he came to the US to act and lost his accent.

I did not know that.

1. Peri Gilpin(Frasier)
2. Harry Anderson(Night Court, Dave's World)
3. Markie Post(Night Court)
4. Julia Duffy(Newhart)
5. John Mahoney(Frasier)
6. Sharon Lawrence(NYPD Blue, Ladies Man, Fired Up)
7. Michael Richards(Seinfeld)
8. Lisa Kudrow(Friends)
9. Leah Remini(King of Queens)
10. Fred Dryer(Hunter)
11. Max Wright(ALF)
12. Barbara Babcock(Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman)
13. Allyce Beasley(Moonlighting)
14. Allen Autry(In The Heat of the Night)
15. Dana Delaney(China Beach, Pasadena)
16. Nancy Marchand(Sopranos)
17. Emma Thompson(Actually, a movie star)

No doubt about it, the Cheers casting directors had a good eye for talent! Any others I may have missed?
