Lassie is one show that has had numerous television series and movies and is an extremely good series, and I was wondering if there were any plans for reboots or anything. If nothing else, they should make cartoons because then they can replace voice actors.

I don't know how it would go over in todays society. Times were different in the 1950-1960-and 1970's. What new could be added??

Well I know they've done at least two movies about that dog in modern days including one where she was put in a fenced in enclosure or something and scaled it, which probably isn't something a collie can do; and they probably had it so that the dog would maybe climb onto a lower platform and then raise it so that she could escape and had cameras nice and close so nobody could see it. Wholesome dog shows are cool.

My favourite lassie movie probably is "The magic of lassie" (1978) which I am having a hard time finding on VHS!

Hate to burst your bubble but here's what Lassie star Peter Lawford had to say about the pooch.
I also read Peter's account of the movie in his autobiography.http://jamesspadashollywood.blogspot...s-vicious.html |

Looking for Lassie on DVD? Go over to thr Trading Post and look up "Joker's Lassie Project". He has all but two episodes from the original series available and the quality is outstanding. This may not be an official release, but they are worth their weight in gold.
PS, I've "bumped" the thread for easier searching. |

I don't care about owning Lassie on videos. I just want to watch all the Lassie shows that have been made. I wouldn't want to have a collie because I'm more of a miniature dachshund fan, but those are a lot of money. As far as having a pet, I want a snake. They're not as fussy about their food when it comes to going near them when they're eating, but the last several dachshunds my brother has had don't care about that. I love teasing dachshunds.

They've had several television shows about Lassie, which is a dog and maybe two Garfield shows, but probably no snack television shows which sucks.
