Noticed that in the "preview" segment for this episode on Amazon, RS speaks at length about Jeffrey Dahmer and the Savings & Loans scams of the 1980s. Yet in the episode, they only show a photo of Dahmer for 2 seconds and the S&L scams are never mentioned.

Probably just used it as the selling point for the show because Dahmer was the big story of 1991 along with Rodney King. The banks was more just a mindset of people-you couldn't really single anybody out, think it was just used to show it doesn't have to be dictators & serial killers.

IIRC, RS does mention the Savings & Loans scams right at the beginning of the segment, but only in passing.
