I FOUND RARE I LOVE LUCY SCRIPTS! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

They are on eBay. The ones I got were quite cheap. They were less than $30 each. One script was the original script for "Bullfight Dance" that is COMPLETLY DIFFERENT than what we saw.

This version, the Ricardo's and Mertzes are in New York. Lucy realizes that one of her old school friends has become a famous actress while raising a family. Lucy and Ethel meet up with her and Lucy being Lucy says that she is going to star in Ricky's nightclub act (despite the fact that she made a written promise to him that she wouldn't from now on and he had it notarized.) Her friend wants to see her perform.

Lucy hatches a scheme to get Ricky to allow her to perform. She tells him what she told her friend and starts crying crocodile tears. Ricky falls for this and allows her to perform. Later on, Fred gets a wind of this and tells Ricky. Ricky decides to get even with her by putting her in a bull costume while he is the matador. Lucy finds out that Ricky knows the truth and that she is going to get him to wish that she is a real bull. Unfortunately the script ends right there.

The other script that I have is "The Ricardo's Change Aprtments." Unlike the other script, this one has some minor differences. The one thing I wish they would have kept is the scene where Fred and the girls try to bring the piano down to the new apartment only for the piano to apparently fall and break (off-camera). I enclosed an image below of what that scene would have looked like.

There are also notes in the script as well.

Wow, how exciting! It would be so nice in finding these original scripts to see the scenes that were edited/trimmed before they were cut for the last 50 years (since it was on CBS DAYTIME and SYNDICATION!

I hope more become available. In regards to the piano moving scene that I mentioned, I wish they kept that in. I was reading it and I thought it was hilarious.

This script is the original script for the episode Bullfight Dance. You will notice that it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what we got. I’m going to attempt to post screen caps. Hope it works.
