I thought Cliff was Barbara's boyfriend so why was she fighting with Julie over the guy in the band?

The simple answer, and I quote from the show dialog, is by that point they had "agreed to see other people."

Slightly more complicated is that the last time we see Cliff, at the end of 'Yes Sir, That's My Baby', Barbara is hugging him sweetly.

(My working theory is that the real life break up of Valerie Bertinelli and Scott Colomby led to the end of Clifff).

Yeah, after watching the Cliff's baby episode, I was left with the "what now" feeling. There was no resolution.

May I suggest you watch some Season 5 ! Starting with episode 3, ODAAT becomes a VERY AMAZINGLY GOOD show at that point!!!

NO! Season 5, 7, 8 and 9 were the best!

At least 49 episodes from those 4 seasons were wonderfully great!!!
