Trailer Released for "Yellow Submarine" Graphic Novel
The Beatles get Onboard in Trailer for Yellow Submarine Graphic Novel
by Clark Collis May 22, 2018 The Beatles’ animated — and highly psychedelic — fantasy film Yellow Submarine was released in theaters 50 years ago this summer. Half a century on, Titan is publishing an Apple-approved graphic novel version of the Fab Four-featuring tale by artist Bill Morrison (The Simpsons) to celebrate the anniversary. In the graphic novel, the music-loving, underwater paradise of Pepperland has been overrun by the music-hating Blue Meanies and their leader, Chief Blue Meanie. They turn the people of Pepperland into living statues by dropping apples on them and imprison the Pepperland’s guardians, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, inside a soundproof blue glass globe, before confiscating all the music instruments in the land. Pepperland’s mayor sends aging sailor, Young Fred, out in the fabled Yellow Submarine to find help. He travels to our world, where he stumbles across the Beatles and begs them to help. They agree and head back to Pepperland, teaming up with Jeremy The Nowhere Man along the way to help overthrow the evil Blue Meanies through the power of music and love. The Beatles Yellow Submarine will be released Aug. 28 and can be pre-ordered at the official Beatles store https://thebeatlesstore.com/collecti...graphicnovelys http://ew.com/books/2018/05/22/yello...graphic-novel/ |

I will definitely be buying this. This movie, and my dad's record collection was my introduction to The Beatles. Plus it's one of my favorite animated films.
