Default The Cosby Opinion: My Opinion on Bill Cosby's Sexual Assault Conviction

Hello everyone,

As many of you know, 2 weeks ago, April 26, 2018, Bill Cosby was Convicted of Indecent Sexual Assault stemming from a 2004 Incident involving Andrea Constand.

That being said, what I'm about to write may get some of you angry with me, for which I apologize upfront in advance, but what I'm about to say is what I know and believe to be true and correct about Bill Cosby: the one word I have for his Conviction last month is SPEECHLESS!!!

I'm Speechless for a DIFFERENT reason than many of you might be. Why? Because I know Bill Cosby is Innocent of the Criminal Charges against him, and based on the Deposition, I know that Cosby, admittedly, gave Pills to Constand to help her relax and calm her nerves. The only thing I find Cosby Guilty of is being a Serial PHILANDERER, meaning even his wife since 1964, Camille, has admitted Bill Cosby cheated on her MANY times, but in spite of it all, has stuck by him and continues to do so even after his Conviction, calling the Conviction a "Mob Justice" in a full statement.

Before I continue, let me just say I'm in no way a Condoner of ANYONE being Raped or Assaulted in ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. I'm basing what I'm saying Solely by the Deposition, which I have read cover to cover in the days after Bill Cosby's Conviction.

Frankly, I know and believe that all the nearly 60 women--or at least MOST of them, with Janice Dickinson being the Ringleader--wanted Bill Cosby's Money. Otherwise, none of them would have waited 20, 30, some cases 40 years to report the alleged offenses; they would have reported the offenses to the proper local Authorities immediately, just like I'm recommending ANYONE do if you or someone you know is being Raped, report it ASAP. The sooner you report it, the more believable your story will be, and the sooner you will be believed in a Court of Law.

On a personal note, I remember as a young teenager watching "Cosby Show" reruns regularly on TBS and Nick at Nite both, and finding the show very funny. My request to those of you colleges and Universities rescinding Bill Cosby's Various Degrees and stations pulling "Cosby Show" reruns from TV channels like Bounce is this: if you're gonna do that, why not pretend Bill Cosby never made "The Cosby Show," pretend Cosby never revived the Sitcom Genre in 1984 from Life Support as it had been during the early '80s, pretend Bill Cosby never starred opposite Robert Culp in "I Spy" as the first Black Actor to star in a Prime-Time Network Drama series, despite having NEVER acted before at the time. Or if you wanna go further, pretend like the Contributions Bill Cosby made to the African-American community, including Donations to various Colleges and the like. Pretend like Bill Cosby never did any good in life. If you folks can do THAT, you can find Bill Cosby Guilty as Charged because he's an 80-year-old Black man named William Henry Cosby, Jr. If he were an elderly 80-year-old White Woman named Wilma Henrietta Cosby instead, he'd never have been arrested nor convicted, much less would we as a Nation OR me as a person be talking about this.

I believe Bill Cosby is far from a perfect man. He's sinned against God MANY times over and needs Repentence as much as anybody else, in his case more so, just by Cheating on his wife of 54 years, Camille, by having Extramarital Affairs culminating in CONSENSUAL Premarital Sex. In Bill Cosby's generation, when he was a much younger man in the '70s, '80s, and even into the early 2000s, Quaaludes and other less severe Drugs were a lot more common than the general public realizes.

Again, by no means am I condoning Bill Cosby's behavior on anyone else; as duly noted, if you're gonna pull Bill Cosby and every TV show he ever made from cable and syndication, you might as well do the same for Tim Allen because of his attempting to sell Cocaine in the '70s. Drugs were as generational in Cosby's generation as was Tim Allen's generation; doesn't mean I condone using or abusing any form of Drugs, Prescribed Pills or otherwise, but I will ask you this before I conclude this post: how would YOU like it if because of a mistake you made in YOUR past, nobody will hire you for a paying job, you wind up homeless, on the streets, unable to afford much of anything?

That's the way America is treating Bill Cosby right now: shunning him from public view, pulling his "Cosby Show" reruns up the yin-yang, and outright disowning him just because of the mistake he made of NOT keeping his Penis in his Pants; if we as a nation can treat Cosby like this (and I say **** You, Hannibal Buress, for bringing Bill Cosby down in what should be his final years of Peace and Serenity by calling Cosby a "Rapist" to begin with), then perhaps we oughta start eliminating Pornography as a Whole from our society--including Nude Pictures and/or Videos of celebrities.

Yeah, and if you wanna go even further, why not have all copies of every nude scene ever made in film DESTROYED--yeah, Bare Buttocks, Bare Penis, Bare Breasts, etc. Maybe we as Americans ought to remain Virgins for life, NEVER reproducing, NEVER having families of our very own again.

Folks, this unfortunately as a nation is where we're coming down to. Instead of condemning Bill Cosby for his Biblical Sins, instead we should Pray for Him, Pray to God that Bill Cosby, when he gasps his last Breath and eventually does pass away, that Cosby will be Saved by Jesus on Judgment Day from Eternal Damnation in Hell. That's what we as Americans SHOULD be doing.

One last thing before I end this Post: Dr. Bill Cosby, I believe in you. I believe your successes in life should NEVER go unnoticed. I believe your wife Camille when she says in a lengthy Social Media post that your Conviction last month was "mob justice" and not "real justice." I also believe that the women who accused you of various forms of Rape--especially Andrea Constand--wanted nothing more or less than to seek revenge on you because of your fame and fortune,to plot bringing an elderly man down in his last years. Most importantly, Dr. Bill Cosby, you are a man of great talent, from your early days in stand-up comedy to being the first black actor to star in your own network TV drama series to even portraying with "The Cosby Show" the African-American community as Positive, Well-Educated People, just like they should be portrayed. That is the Dr. William Henry Cosby, Jr. I remember and always will remember: bringing laughter and joy to so many over the course of 5 1/2 decades.

As some of you may know, at age 18, after TWICE flunking 10th Grade, Bill Cosby initially dropped out of High School; he subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Navy, spending 4 years fighting for our country from 1956-1960, and during that time, he got his General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and after his Navy stint ended, he enrolled at Temple University in his hometown of Philadelphia, where he was born on July 12, 1937, the eldest of a family of boys (including younger brother, Russell) born to the late Anna Pearl and William Henry Cosby, Sr. After dropping out of College, Cosby pursued stand-up comedy full time, eventually dropping back IN to college and earning his Doctorate of Education in 1976, over a decade after his "I Spy" breakthrough opposite the late Robert Culp.

I thank you all in advance for reading this lengthy Post.
