Default The Family Channel/Freeform today

Ever since The Family Channel was launched in the 70's first as a Christian channel then became The Family Channel then bought by FOX and then renaming itself ABC Family and now Freeform I have noticed that they have a new image and I would like to know if you have noticed this about Freeform? Is it because Freeform wanted to attract a new teenage audience to the channel by adding new shows and more? Because when The Family Channel came out it used to attract families by having sitcoms for everyone game shows that everyone could watch to cartoons for the kids and movies for the adults to watch when the kids went to sleep. But as soon as FOX brought The Family Channel and renamed itself FOX Family Channel you could tell that it was getting a new audience and half of the channel seemed to be aimed at kids because they showed cartoons and kids shows in the morning and afternoon hours with the talk show Home And Family with Chuck Woolery in the afternoons before the afternoon cartoons aired. But what made The Family Channel unique that you don't see on Freeform today is the lack of original shows and I remember when they had shows like Rin Tin Tin K-9 Cop and The New Adventures Of The Black Stallion as well as The New Adventures Of Black Beauty and Snowy River The McGregor Saga but now that The Family Channel is now Freeform all you see is sitcoms and dramas aimed at the teenage market and so it tells me that Freeform is taking a new direction and stepping away from the family audience

I DO Miss the 1990's The Family Channel.

Today, TV Stations are money-hungry and don't use quality, but things that are cash-cows. It's a corporate thing...and The Family Channel had a good game show Trivial Pursuit starring Wink Martindale!

TV stations are just boring in general. Well, except for the classic ones.

Freeform is just another avenue for ABC to spew its garbage (with some exceptions). Like A&E used to stand for Arts and Entertainment...now it too is owned by ABC..virtually all garbage reality shows.
