Was Opie Flunks Arthematic the first apperance of Colored Episode Andy

While I tend to avoid TAGS episodes which fear Hellcat Helen, last night I happened to see the episode Opie Flunks Arithmetic, an episode that I'm still surprised got made due to how miserable everybody is in it. The thing that shocked me the most was how Andy acts how he did in the colored episodes than he did in the Black and White episodes: Grumpy, irritable and viewing Opie with outright contempt. I have to wonder if Andy knew this was the last episode that would feature Barney as a regular cast member and that influenced his mood.

Andy approaches opies poor grades in a reasonable manner. Barney scares the living daylights out of him about opies future due to bad grades. Andy overreacts putting too much pressure on Opie. Andy sees the error of his ways and mellows out.

Helen looks great with a nice hairstyle really showing how pretty she is. Poignant story teaches a lesson on heavy handed parents pressuring kids. Don Knotts is hilarious as a know-it-all butinsky. You see some good emotional acting from Andy,Opie,and helen.

Episode contains one the the greatest Barney lines of all-time, "who knows how far Einstein would have gone if he wasn't a dropout."
