Oh No My brother is suspended from work...

Last Tuesday...my brother was suspended from his job. He hasn't heard from his job. I told him that I'd help him find something else. After working at Save-A-Lot for almost 11 years, I'm gonna ask him to type his resume and send it to Discount Drug Mart...which I find as a better management position since they're only in Ohio and the competition isn't tight.

I only wanna talk about this to a handful of people since one may spill the beans...

Good luck to him. Good jobs are hard to find.

They didn't tell him how long the suspension was?

Yeah, that is what I was wondering? By suspended do you mean it was something he did wrong or do you mean laid off temporarily due to it being a slow time at the store or something? If it's that than he should be able to collect unemployment in the meantime if it was no fault of his own! if it's the first than to me suspended means he didn't do anything that bad ( or they would have just out and out fired him ) and they will have him back, but they really should tell him how long it will last!

Anyway, Good luck to him, wishing him all the best! Either get this job back or a new one that might be even better! And he should really look into Unemployment! See if he qualifies, it never hurts to check!!

I should ask my brother if he can get unemployment, or even paid suspension...

Save-a-Lot is more different than it was in 2007...they are now owned by another business.

I may now get my groceries at either Aldi or Marc's.

If he was suspended without pay then the plan is probably to terminate him.

I worked as a banker for about 30 years and had to put up with my share of job related BS too. I had to deal with BS from bosses, BS from other employees, and occasional BS from customers. This is why I'm glad I can now afford to stay home and not have to work. No more job related stress and BS to deal with. And the way things are these days, the less to do with other people, the better. I stay home most of the time and keep to myself. I'm a single guy and wouldn't mind having a girlfriend, but when I think about it, I'm probably better off not being involved with anyone so I don't worry about it. If I eventually meet someone, fine, if not that's OK too.

Oh No Update...

...My Brother is now fired from Save-A-Lot.

I'll no longer shop there, so if I need cheap groceries I'll go to Aldi.
