Default The new "Roseanne" is totally unbelievable

Since when does Roseanne Conner say grace before dinner?

Since when does Roseanne Conner judge a woman on what she does with her own body?

Since when would Roseanne Conner let politics come between her and her sister (best friend)?

This new "Roseanne Conner" is totally unbelievable and completely out of character. I understand that some people change as time goes by, but this is way too much. It's like "Roseanne Conner" had a complete personality transplant. I'm not buying it at all.

Roseanne BARR is pandering to the Trumpies, and it's so very, very sad. Such a sell out!

I kind of agree. I watched the first week. The two eps. and thought it was entertaining mainly from the nostalgic stand point of seeing the Connor family again! Beyond that I didn't find it to be that great of a deal! I even forgot to watch it last Tuesday!

Besides what you listed. I find the Becky surrogate story line to be a bit goofy! And also after 20 years wouldn't they have some new furniture and maybe some remodeling/updates in the house or something! Wouldn't the furniture and the house look really rundown with nothing different or new in 20 years?

I have to agree. In the first episode, she was such a stereotype of a Trump supporter, it felt nothing like the Roseanne we knew. She's doing it all because she wants to "appeal to the working class," but guess what, not all of the working class voted for Trump, and it feels like she's doing it to purport her agenda!

I was also kinda surprised that they hardly changed the interior house in 20 years, you'd think they'd get a remodel (at least the Bradys did in the A Very Brady Christmas movie which came out almost 20 years after the original show started, but well, I guess Mike had money as an architect) but they must be so poor that it never happened...except for the fridge and the couch.

I wonder if they'll bring back Crystal, Nancy, Ann Marie, Bonnie or Leon.

Nancy is supposed to be in a episode sometime. I so wanted a Leon return. As I'm a big Martin Mull fan.

Crystal, Nancy, and Anne Marie (and her husband, Chuck) are all scheduled to appear. So is Bev.

Sara Gilbert confirmed on Watch What Happens Live that Roseanne is the only Trump supporter on the the show.

Maybe you need to review this video:

I think it's insane that people are slamming this show because it "changed". It's 2018. People need to get over it.

Some people... sheesh. I personally like the show, it's a reboot though, not the original, so there's bound to be change. It's inevitable. Over time, people change, so why shouldn't characters? It's called development and clever storytelling, not " selling out". Just my two cents.

It's not a reboot. Same actors, same characters. Becky is 43 and too old to be a surrogate, so that storyline is finished.

With the surrogate storyline finished, is Sarah Chalke no longer on the show?

things I would change about the revival if it were up to me:

1. the house changes to look like it's 20 years later
2. Jackie is a lesbian
3. Jerry and Jackie's kid are part of the series
4. DJ and his daughter actually have speaking lines
5. David is on business somewhere (not out of their daily lives because of divorce).
6. They say what happened to the restaurant
7. Darlene is a little more sarcastic like she used to be
8. Dan doesn't come off like he had a stroke and is the oldest person in the world.

Its pretty realistic I think, MANY working class ppl who were more liberal have gone to the Trump conservative side.I know a woman who used to say "A womans body a woman's choice" But now she's a big right wing trump supporter and now says abortion is murder. It happens.
