Aunt Bea gets picked by a local TV station to do a daily cooking show. 7 days a week? Not a great episode. Still 100x better than anything made today.
None of the episode's additional actors are funny. One thing it does is reinforce Aunt Bea's value to the Taylor home when she's gone. Goober as always shows up in the middle of the day abandoning the gas station. Andy's horrible cooking with opie's reaction is the best part. I'm sure they had tv dinners in the late 60s. They avoided the diner as not to fuel talk they made up Aunt Bea's cooking replacement. Frances Bavier's comedic skills are displayed a few times especially during the cooking show. Enjoyable but not memorable. |

I thought it was strange that Aunt Bea didn't know the supposed replacement lady, Mrs. Parsons (?). I thought everyone in Mayberry knew each other.
