Red face Crime in Mayfield

Name a person who committed a crime no matter how small. The cops need not to have gotten involved.

I’ll start with the two kids who stole a boat from Friends Lake boathouse. Red Bennett and Fred Thornton.

Next?

Beaver and Wally, for driving on a public street without a license.

Richard, for breaking a window, and (if we could apply this to those times) for identity theft.

Beaver and Larry, truancy.

Beaver, stealing ("his" tree) and trespassing.

Beaver, a false fire alarm.

Eddie, money laundering (misuse of the financial system--credit card)

Eddie, forgery (report card)

I'd really like to nail Gilbert with something...

In another thread I was reminded of another criminal, petty thief Kenneth Purcell. Mrs. Rayburn must have sent him to reform school, because we never saw him again.

Sneaking into a movie, not paying for a ticket would be considered stealing.

Mayfield isn't as wholesome as I thought.

Yep! And if Beaver had his way I think that kid would have gotten the death penalty.

Wow you mentioned some that didn’t come to mind. Those guys at a Mayfield Dairy were real criminals. I bet Mr. Worden not only had them fired but prosecuted. Beaver really did steal that tree and trespassed. Love identity theft and Eddie Forgery and money laundering. I thought of how he tampered with a school document but forgery is better. Ward was firm with him but should have banned him from the house for a month. He should have come over to apologize like he did in credit card.

My top pick was that sleazy salesman with unscrupulous tactics selling Beaver huge skates just to make a sale then throwing them back at him. Also Roger Delacey stole $3 from the cookie fund and hope Miss Landers followed through and made an example out of him.

Mayfield was like Peyton Place with Marlene Holmes and Hank serving Wally.

I also remember Beaver was working as a caddy and the golfer told Beaver to put down a wrong score so he could win a large bet. Beaver called him on it and he later lost on purpose to make it right.

Yep. Beaver could have walked into Langley's office and said, "I got the cops with me, to put you in leg irons."
