It seems like the contracts for Empty Nest and Ellen expire at the end of March since they are being completely removed and both aired 4 hours a day before. Grounded for Life and A Different World are starting from the beginning, Spin City is starting from season 3. It would have been nice to give Grounded for Life a decent time like the 1PM hour. Spin City would still have 2 hours before that. I am glad Night Court is not being messed with, it is easily the best show on the station. Is 3rd Rock from the Sun coming this year or not? I had heard LAFF got the rights but don't know if that is true now.

The only thing I'll be watching is The Drew Carey Show. I like some seasons of Ellen, so I'm sorry to see that go. I'd watch 3rd Rock if it was on. To me it's mostly a channel of 2nd and 3rd rate cheapo shows.

Will Empty Nest and Ellen at least still be on the weekend schedule?

Seems odd A Different World is also airing on sister station Bounce as well so it’s now on both. Only thing I really watched was Empty Nest. But I won’t be watching this regardless because of the credit crunch.

Does Laff credit crunch all their shows?

You mentioned sister station so LAFF and Bounce must be owned by the same company. Me-TV and Decades are also sister stations, do they both air any shows at the same time? (I've never gotten either of them, so wouldn't know.)

Ellen is still on the weekend schedule tomorrow, but that is the old schedule. Empty Nest was not on the weekend lineup, just weekdays. My onscreen guide does not go through to the following weekend, and this is a station my online listings still thinks is ION. So I wouldn't know if they are making weekend changes yet. If I am correct they are losing the rights to both shows, Ellen would have to be replaced with something.

Speaking of the weekend schedule, Cybill really gets shameful treatment. It only airs 4 episodes a week early Saturdays from 6-8AM. At least on the old schedule, but I already know it still won't be joining the new weekday lineup.

Yes. Bounce is owned by Katz Broadcasting.

I'll miss Empty Nest. Really the only thing I watched on there.

Way too much modern programming on that channel for my taste. They should take more of an Antenna TV like approach and concentrate mostly on shows made before 1990.

Spin City was already on the schedule. It was moved to weekends only for a while, but I guess it's coming back to weekdays. Ellen's weekend airings will be replaced with Grounded for Life, which I think was also on the schedule in the past. A Different World is the only show that's totally new to the schedule.
