Lightbulb My thoughts on Golden Palace

I just watched four episodes of Golden Palace, and I'm not really sure if I think it was that good. It actually kinda lacks in quality because Dorothy is gone, and the three girls didn't have that great of chemistry between them and the new cast members. There also really isn't anything new you can do, (storylines) so at the BEST I could have seen GP running for 3 seasons. I just think them living in a hotel is crazy!

It is worth watching, but it's not THAT great.

This is what I think they should have done:

1. They should have not changed the title. I think some viewers lost touch with the show.

2. Remain on Sat. night
3. Remain on NBC
4. Have Dorothy's sister Gloria move in to take Dorothy's place.
5. Go ahead and get the hotel, but stay in the house.

Since none of the above is ever gonna happen, Lifetime should show reruns early Sat./Sun. morning but I guess the infomercials are here to stay.

They shouldn't have added that little kid (I'm forgetting his name), and they should have made Chuy a minor character.

Default It was hilarious

There was nothing lacking to me. I loved the show and thought it was sooo funny. I still watch my episodes.

The Golden Palace: Dorothy's Hotel Visit.

Dorothy: That's just like you Blanche, all talk and no action. Just like your dates.

Blanche: Are you saying that I'm not easy? Why do you think they call me the female Ted Kennedy?

Dorothy: Because you look like him.

I never had the chance to watch The Golden Palace. I was living in Mexico City during the one season the show ran and it had been cancelled by the time I returned to the States. Oh, well....

I love GOLDEN PALACE. And they got rid of the kid by the way. The show changed as it went on and got better and better. I loved Sophia playing on the elevator when she took the week off.

I've heard of the "Golden Place" but never saw it!

It is a great idea to try to get it on Lifetime.

I've never seen the Golden Palace. But I would love to. Lifetime should add Golden Palace and Maude to their schedule.

Default Dorothy's Visit

I really thought that Bea's Arthur's visit was one my favorites. Her entrance was a stunning entrance. The character Chuy(Cheech Marin) was told by Roland(Don Cheadle) to go after the next woman he saw and not to take no for an annwer. Dorothy just happened to be coming through the door of the hotel. When she came in, the audience went wild with applause and cheering.

Chuy: Hola, mamacita. (He said something else in making a play for her)

Dorothy: Leave now and no one gets hurt.
Chuy:You must be Dorothy.

Thumbs up Golden Palace

I loved this show. I thought it was very funny. I wish Lifetime would air it. Or maybe ABC Family since they like airing shows that have been on for a short time.
