Another of Ward's old girlfriends:
"When I was Beaver's age (a phrase we've never heard from Ward), I had quite a crush on Eleanor Christoff. I think the big attraction was that her father owned a paint store.....To this day, I can't open a can of turpentine without thinking of Eleanor." This is from Farewell to Penny. Add this to the list of Ward's girlfriends, unless it's already there (I was too lazy to try to find another thread). |

I noticed Ward naming another old love interest too. I’m glad you got the spelling. I’ll attempt to name them. I remember you came up with Genevieve Dunlap from Beaver’s Big Contest. He and June are arguing about her old boyfriend, Freddie Rice.
Eleanor Christoff- Farewell to Penny Genevieve Dunlap Helene Quigley I think her father owned a Hupmobile shop? Agnes Fuller -Wally’s Dinner Date Loretta Mish -Wally’s Dream Girl Maude Hagerman- Blind Date Committee Evelyn Bowderhouse was from Beaver’s Accordion. Any more? How about Bertha Butt, Beatrice Phlugg and Sylvia Flack |

Just found the old post called Ward’s Girlfriends. I went up to the search option on the upper right that says search forum and put in Helene Quigley. I believe there is another girlfriend called Bernice but no idea of her last name.

I'm not sure how a girl's father owning a paint store makes her a big attraction. Maybe June should have asked.
About Bertha Butt--Ward used to boogie with her. |

Helene Quigley - Ward brought her up in Beaver the Babysitter: (re Wally giving up earning money to go out on a date) "I know just how he feels. When i was his age I had a big crush on a girl in our high school, too. Her name was Helene Quigley. It took me almost a year to get a date with her. When I finally did, it was the biggest event in my life since my brother let me wear his long pants. It's the kind of a thing a boy remembers all of his life." When June asks what she was like, he says he can't remember.
The Hupmobile shop must have been another girlfriend, or another inconsistency. |

I wonder who’s father owned the hupmobile shop? I think we’re missing a name. I remember he and June are sitting on the sofa when he mentions hupmobile. I remember Evelyn Bowderhouse was the first girl to wear galoshes with white fur and said Ward had eyes like Melvyn Douglas. (Beaver’s Accordion)
I do remember a Bernice but maybe MeTV has cut out that scene like when they cut out Genevieve Dunlap. We all love Loretta Mish who was cleaning fish with her mother. |
