The classic book and movie The Wizard Of Oz had it's own cartoon series made by Disney called Disney's Oz Kids and featured the characters of The Wizard Of Oz as kids having adventures and solving problems of their own. I do not know what channel Disney's Oz Kids aired on but videos of the cartoon series were released by Paramount Home Video in the 90's. It was such a smart idea to make younger versions of the Wizard Of Oz to introduce younger children to the book and movie but is a good cartoon

It was only distributed by Disney in certain areas, It was created by Hyperion animation and originally broadcast on ABC in 1996.

I think the best animated Oz series of all time is the Japanese anime "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" which was broadcast in the US & Canada in the mid-late 80s. The complete series was recently released to DVD.

I only watch The Wizard of Oz 1939 movie. Very old one :-)

Hi, Bestie! I never saw that cartoon but it sounds good. Wish Disney would remake it. OZ has great characters.
