Does anyone remember a case in which someone (I believe a woman) had been kidnapped/was being held captive, but was able to summon help while out in public with the criminal(s), perhaps at a rest stop or restaurant? I know I might be conflating memories and cases (i.e. Anthonette Cayedito) but thought I'd try. The escape may have been in an Update.

Paul Stamper was released from prison in 2002...if you can wrap your brain around that. |

Thanks! I remembered it a bit differently than played out in the Stamper segment but this has to be it. Yes, his release in 2002 is crazy.

I cringe every time I see "has since been released" at the end of one of the FilmRise updates. Even if the crime in question was something less severe than murder like the fraud cases.
