Ray Romano is returning to his standup roots with an hourlong comedy special on Netflix. While Romano started off as a comedian before segueing to acting with his own sitcom, "Everybody Loves Raymond" on CBS, this actually will be his first standalone comedy special.

It will feature new material, with the taping and release date TBD.

Ray Romano is one of few stand-up comedians who can actually act. When they get a show, most stand-ups surround themselves with good actors who can cover for them (Seinfeld comes to mind). But Romano was just as good as his co-stars on Raymond and went on to other shows after it ended.
