I have an easier solution. Take all the series that are on between 12-7 am and have them switch places with the series that are on between 12-7 pm and then you'll have a schedule that makes sense. The Westerns would be on late at night which is more suitable for adult audiences and instead you would have the sitcoms and family shows in the afternoons.

I don’t care for the Western TV shows, MASH, or Hogan’s Heroes but as they’ve been on forever they must be getting good ratings and are a hit with the advertising people.

M*A*S*H has really jumped the shark. I'd love to see When Things Were Rotten, though it was such a short run, that wouldn't be a long-term solution. Time Tunnel would be a good addition.

I wouldn't mind the westerns so much if they had a better selection than the tired combo of Gunsmoke, Big Valley and Bonanza. Shows like The Lone Ranger, Sgt. Preston of the Yukon and The Cisco Kid would be better, more fun and action-packed choices.

I generally skip those, but I rather enjoy The Rifleman, Wanted: Dead or Alive, and Have Gun - Will Travel. Those were before my time and never really hit the rerun circuit.

I would also take off all the westerns. All they did really was glorify the white Cowboys and caricature or have no pity for the Native Americans. It's really hard to watch that nowadays.

True for some, not true for others. I've actually been quite surprised at how well native American issues are addressed on some of the shows.

On the other hand, many of the non-Westerns are quite racist and insulting to a great variety of people. And don't get me started on Love Boat, where the entire crew should have been fired for sexual misconduct a hundred times over.

If only Alice, Gimme a Break, Benson, and Silver Spoons could come to MeTV, they could trade the westerns, MASH, and Hogan’s Heroes to that crummy credit crunch network Antenna TV.

Let it go. It's really not that big of a deal. And this is coming from someone who's not a fan of the practice. You've been beating this dead horse for three years, and try to find a way to force this into any thread about Antenna TV. Enough already.

I agree, it's getting irritating
