Hulu has The Lucy Show (CBS)... but Amazon Prime streaming has public domain episodes - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Wow! I am absolutely thrilled to see that Hulu has this series, as well as Here's Lucy, available with subscription. I have the DVDs, but it is so convenient to stream these episodes :-).

I hope that the DVD extras might get added to Hulu as that would make for an even more rich viewing experience as technically Hulu does have an "extras" section available for their series. But it all depends on copyright.

I have noticed and I communicated this to Hulu that while most of the episodes are the pristine quality prints found on the DVDs, some of the public domain episodes snuck themselves on there. There is a watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen that says CBS for even the lower-quality syndicated prints, so I'm hopeful it's a quick fix.

A few episodes of The Lucy Show are not provided, so I also let Hulu know about this.

Here's Lucy is also available on Amazon Prime Video, which is exciting. I'm glad MPI did this.

But in regards to The Lucy Show being on Amazon Prime Video, it appears that one of the companies that released a public domain DVD of The Lucy Show published these episodes onto Amazon Prime Video and as of right now, these are the only episodes of The Lucy Show available through this service.

I hope CBS decides to make The Lucy Show available on Amazon Prime like they did for Hulu.

This is quite an exciting time to be living in. I also appreciate that closed-captions were made available for the streaming episodes.

I'm glad this show is able to be seen nowadays. It seemed like everyone always made such a huge fuss about how superb I Love Lucy was from Lucille's line of work that they forget the superior quality The Lucy Show had during its run. I always preferred this show to I Love Lucy. I think it's because I Love Lucy was overplayed to death that it got boring to watch again. The Lucy Show is very comical with her and Vivian. The addition of Gale Gordon was a wise move as the two have great chemistry together like her and Vivian.
