In my every Thursday watching of Leave It To Beaver today I'm now in Season 6 after watching all in order. Today it was "Bachelor At Large" where Eddie moves out and into a room of his own in a dump "on the other side of the tracks" run by the lady who played the first Marjorie on Great Gildersleeve radio show. So, the issue is this, I think it was wrong of Wally and Beaver to go along with Ward's request to not go visit Eddie. I thought that was pretty mean. A friend would visit someone, esp. if they knew they were feeling lonely. For Wally and even Lumpy (who really seemed extra fat in this episode, he must have gained weight during the Season 5 hiatus) to ignore Eddie and not visit was not being a true friend. If Ward chooses not to visit, that's on him, but for Wally and Lumpy, supposed friends, to ignore Eddie was cruel.

By the time he met up with Eddie, Wally knew from the landlady how bad it was for Eddie; he could have finalized the arrangements with Eddie, and later told Ward what the landlady said. Then he could have told Ward he wanted to keep the date at Eddie's, but that he was going to talk to Mr. Haskell about Eddie's situation afterward.

By the way, the landlady was Lurene Tuttle, who, in an episode around season 2, ran an adoption agency, when Beaver wanted to be adopted.

Yeah I agree. It was wrong for Mr. Haskell to get with Ward and forbid Wally and Lumpy to visit. Let them go and see how bad things really are. That would have been funny to have them sit around that place like on his unmade bed and eat hamburgers from a hot plate. Eddie was so happy about the guys coming Friday night. That apartment was so small were they supposed to stay overnight? That poor dog in the bathroom seemed neglected.

I believe I had a trivia question about Lurene Tuttle being in 2 episodes and earlier had a cat fight with Marilyn Monroe in Don’t Bother To Knock.

The funniest part was when Wally was picking out a sports jacket to wear to Eddie’s like he was going to a gala event. What was the idea of getting dressed up to see Eddie?

He probably knew June would insist he wear a jacket. Could you see June at Eddie's dump? She had a fit when Beaver used a towel on the monkey.

You didn’t plagiarize. I just happened to mention it again. Hey can you imagine Eddie throwing one of his suave sweaters into the washer with those green socks. Eddie doesn’t look like the green sock type. June would have not even entered that slummy neighborhood and would never have entered that apartment house. Eddie would have become emaciated eating TV dinners and corn flakes and sardines.
