Were the Malden/Burr episodes shown only 1 time? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Where the Malden/Burr episode specials shown only 1 time or where there reruns shortly after? Cause if they were only shown 1 time ever that would make them true lost media

All three "pre-Stack" specials were repeated at least one time each on NBC in 1987 and 1988 before UM became a series.

Some folks recorded the original (or repeat) broadcasts and copies of those tapes have been circulating on the Internet in various forms since 2004 or so.

Also, they were re-edited and reformatted into new episodes on Spike with Dennis Farina.

So, in consideration of the above, I fail to see how these qualify as "lost media."

Definitely not lost media. That's something like early Doctor Who.

The tapes exist they just won't show them commercially. If I had to guess it's to do with them not wanting to or not having a deal in place like with Stack to pay residuals out to the them or their estates.
