Default Is Valentine's Day being promoted more than ever this year?

Now that Valentine's Day is just around the corner I've noticed that ever since February began that Valentine's Day is being promoted a lot more this year and I would like to know why this is? Is it because Valentine's Day is gonna become the big holiday of February 2018? Because I have never seen Valentine's Day being promoted a lot before because I have always thought Valentine's Day has been an underrated holiday in the years past. Take for example I saw lots of commercials advertising flowers and it tells me that flowers are the number one Valentine's Day gift this year. Other commercials I have noticed are for jewelry and it seems that jewelry stores are gonna make a lot of money this Valentine's Day because jewelry is the second Valentine's Day gift that is very popular every year. It used to be that when Valentine's Day came around you saw very little promotion on items and when Valentine's Day finally arrived the stores would move on from Valentine's Day sales and focused on President's Day sales and so because of this change I seem to think that Valentine's Day has indeed changed it's tune and is now being promoted a lot more than ever

Yes, it seems like Valentine's Day is being pushed more than ever. And yes, Mr. Cleveland, I too, will be alone on Valentine's Day.

I'll be at church that day...my new pastor talked about miracles...It'd be a miracle if he can preach a good sermon!

I think that it seems like more promotion because there is so much more media then there used to be.

Of course, Halloween is being promoted early, along with back-to-school. I'm sure Valentine's Day promotion also started early.

Me too!! I went to mass today and got my ashes! And regarding Valentines day, it doesn't have to be romantic. And don't be sad! Think of it as a friendship day!
