Favorite "All My Children" Storylines of All Time

What are some of you guy's favorite storylines ever on this soap opera?

Mine are mainly from the 1990's and in no order:
1. Palmer locking Opal in the basement
2. Janet and Erica working together to save Skye from Dr. Kinder
3. Janet kidnapping Natalie putting her in the well taking over her identity and marrying Trevor.
4. Kendall being revealed as Erica's daughter and tormenting the crap out of Erica. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Susan Lucci were awesome at that hateful mother / daughter relationship.
5. Janet coming back as Jane and trying to marry Trevor.
6. Vanessa. Anything with Vanessa. Marj Dusay was awesome in that role and was entertaining to watch during anything she did. I was really bummed when they killed her off with Leo. It wasn't that long before that they had just gotten rid of Janet so it was like who's going to be the next crazy lady in Pine Valley now?
7. Anna / Alex. I love Fiona Hughes acting. I was ok when they got rid of Alex because we had Anna. When Anna got with David, they became my favorite couple of all for this show. I don't like that they didn't end up together.
8. Erica kidnapping Edmund and Maria's baby. Susan Lucci was fun to watch as a crazy person at times.
9. Trey turning into Kendall's half-brother. I was surprise by that. I think I was routing for them to be a couple before that story came into play.

Those are the main ones sticking out in my head right now. The main storyline I hated on All My Children in all the years I watched it was the baby swapping story with Babe, Bianca, and the characters from One Life To Live. I was not a regular watcher of OLTL so it sucked when they would force us to watch another show for a revelation on a story that involved AMC. Granted I know they did this before with Skye's parenting but I hate crossovers. Plus the baby story lasted longer than it should have.

I Love your list. I couldn't agree more with you about Vanessa, she was everything and more. I loved that entire lil era with greens and leo and they're families. I wish that whole cast stuck around longer. Kinda Disagree about the babyswitch, i overall liked it. It only would have been better if it was janet and amanda in the story instead of babe and krystal. And i would've killed one of the babies.

1.Jenny and gregs romance and their iconic teen-set (the entire canvas was included in this story).
2.The 1994 tornado(another great umbrella for everybody on canvas).
3.Dimitri's entrance with natalie and /Erica/Brooke/edmund living at wildwind era. Everything was gothic, sexy and mysterious.
4. The "all about eve" arrival of Kendall.
5.Bianca's 2000 return arc including her friendship with leo, feud with greens, her coming out out, baby-switch.
6. Jesse and Angie reunion arc (They had like one of the most action pact weddings).
7.Dixie crystal ball return 2005-06
8. Dixie be-witched 2008 return.
9. Erica's painkiller addiction
10. Bianca's custody battle with erica and travis
11. Erica's Phantom of the opera mask story/romance with david
12. david and greenlee revenge wedding plot
13. the unravealing of crazy annie
14. janet in the whell
15.Ross raping natalie
16.janet's return as jane cox
