Yeah I wondered about it, too. I think they were having big time server problems.

I still can't get on with my computer only my cell!
And I know I sound like a broken record and whoa is me cause I've posted this so many times, but I just don't know what to do! I guess I'll have to take it to a tech cause I think it's my computer cause everyone else seems to be able to be on! Thank God for my cell phone! But I want to be able to post here from my computer!! I'm getting really sad! And it's good money I'll have to spend to get it fixed!

1. Maybe for whatever reason your web browser is blocking this site, so you might want to try re-installing the web browser, whichever one you are currently using. 2. It's also possible that the internet security service you are using (Norton, Kaspersky, etc.) could be blocking this site. Not sure though what you would have to do in order to fix it in the event that is the problem. I guess the best thing to do is take the computer to a technician who knows how to fix computer problems. Might cost you a little money but then you'll have a working computer again. Good luck.

You could try the simple things first:
1. Shut down and restart your computer. 2. Carefully clear your history. I say carefully because you may remove cookies you don't want to remove (like bank websites, facebook, etc.) 3. Make sure you have downloaded and installed all updates to your computer. This site definitely did have problems--I think it was last weekend. All you could get much of time was that (the browser) couldn't find the server. Like tankeryanker, I thought they had taken this site down. |

I haven't had any problems accessing this site. Last summer I remember getting many "site is dangerous" warning blocks popping up. But I didn't respond to them and everything worked out after they gave up popping up those messages. But for the past 9 months no problem accessing. They have not shut down Bonnie, clearing your history and your cookies is something I do often, there are often malware hiding in cookies that you never even know you have. I don't keep bank info. on line so when I clear out I clear everything.

Bonniegirl: what HA wrote above reminded me: you should have some kind of antivirus software. Malwarebytes is a free one (there is a free option), and there are many others, like Webroot (not free).
Just thought of another thing: you could have a bookmark to the site, and if they changed servers/IP address, your bookmark could be faulty (now) (I know, this sounds like grasping at straws). Try accessing sitcoms via a search engine like google, and click on a link there. If that works, delete your old bookmark, and re-bookmark it from the live site. |

Thanks to all of you !!
I have tried some of your suggestions already and I will try some that you guys posted that I haven't tried ! But probably my best bet , because I'm not( and my Hubby either, he is shaking his head over this as much as I am)very computer savvy would be to just take it to the computer tech. I have a guy who has cleared up viruses for me before, and he charges reasonably, seems to have my best interest at heart and not overcharge and take advantage of me because I am naive about tech stuff!

I should have said, you might be using a bookmark list or favorites list to access sitcoms. Probably the easiest thing to try, is using a link from google or some other search engine like bing, to access the site, and see if that works (in other words, go to google, and type in sitcomsonline, and click on a link that comes up).
If you do take it to the computer guy, you could ask him what he thinks would be a good antivirus program. I know malwarebytes is very easy to run--if he likes it, he could load the free version for you, and you could run it daily. Good luck, I hope it works out! Keep us posted... |

This site was having problems last weekend because I couldn't access it either for a few hours, but then later it was fine again.
One thing that I do with my computer each evening before shutting it off for the night is run the Disk Cleanup utility. This clears out unnecessary files that accumulate during the day while using the computer and being on line. I run the Disk Cleanup, then check to make sure all the counters have been reset to "0" before shutting off the computer. Doing this each evening helps to keep the computer running smoothly. |

Specifically, what happens when you try to access the site?
What was happening for me, last weekend, was I got a message that my browser could not find the server. |
