I loved Nell!!

She passed away much too young!

I've been enjoying seeing her and watching Gimme a break again thanks to Antenna TV!!

Never had a chance to post this since SO site was down, but...

15 years without Nell Carter...her and Dolph Sweet WERE the show! Once Dolph died...it wasn't the same!

I love Nell so much. Her sense of humor was amazing and she had a beautiful singing voice.

Nell Carter was the show, yes...but Dolph Sweet's bad acting is painful to watch sometimes when you realize that he couldn't act.

I think Dolph Sweet held GAB as well as Nell Carter...but I will say that Dolph was typecasted in many films, either he was a gruff or a cop.

On GAB...he was a gruff cop.
