Nomophobia is the irrational fear of being without your mobile phone or being unable to use your phone for some reason, such as the absence of a signal or running out of minutes or battery power. A phobia is by definition an irrational fear.

Signs of Nomophobia:
Compulsively checks phone
Sleeps with phone
Checking your phone first when you wake up
Never turns off phone
Anxious over bad reception or low battery

Nomophobia is on the rise and affects millions of people. Many don't realize
that they have this phobia.

I don't have it THAT bad but I do have a fear of losing my cell phone!

And I admit I do pick up my phone first thing when I wake up before I get out of bed, but not to check for phone calls or texts, it's for the internet, to see what posts are here and for me to post a bit before getting out of my bed (being lazy) and onto the computer which is across the room!

No. I only use my phone for emergency's. Plus I don't have a smart phone. I have a older cell phone.

I have a fear of losing my phone but I would call that a pretty rational fear to be honest.

I'm not addicted to my phone. I can get along without it but I still tend to use it a lot.

I don't think I have a fear of losing my cell phone. Sometimes I wish I could lose it.
But it is funny that you ask this, because just last night I had a dream where fire ants were taking my cell phone down a hole on a counter. And my phone was really tiny(in the dream). About the size of a nickel.
