When Is Westport Not Westport?
When it's Edgartown, MA! A piece of video that purports to be a shot of a Westport street, one that is used in pretty much every episode, is actually Main Street in Edgartown (the county seat on Martha's Vineyard). I recognized it immediately. I've attached a still from the program, which carries the ABC logo on it, with a shot I took on my July visit to Edgartown, the one with the bunting. It's the same street!! It's as fake as the fictional Westport ladies!
