NFL TV ratings were down 9.7% during the 2017 season

The 2017 drop follows an 8% drop from the 2016 season, which was attributed to the presidential election. A variety of factors have been blamed for the ratings drop, from NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem to the dilution of NFL games. This season, Thursday Night Football was shown on CBS, NBC, Amazon Prime and NFL Network. |
