In the 70's Wink Martindale hosted one of America's most popular game shows Tic Tac Dough a version of the classic kids game that featured contestants answering questions and for every answer correct earned them a mark on the tic tac toe board and the game was known for having it's classic bonus round in which the winning contestant had to win money by finding money spaces and the face of a dragon and if the contestant got the money and found the dragon the contestant won the money. Tic Tac Dough also had it's big winner who was a guy named Thom McKee who is considered one of the biggest winners in game show history. In 1990 Tic Tac Dough was revived in a new version that was short lived that was hosted by actor John Wayne's son Patrick Wayne that aired in reruns as part of USA's game show block. It would be cool to see Tic Tac Dough being made in a new version one of these days because the show was truly a classic game show that GSN or Buzzr should air in reruns someday

Hi, Bestie! Yes, TTD should be revived. It was a great game show. But who would be a good host? I say Gilbert Godfried. He is funny. Who do you think would be a good host? Keep chasing your dreams!

The 1970s version of Tic Tac Dough was better than the 1950s version but the 1990 version of TTD did not work.

Many stations aired Tic Tac Dough following The Joker's Wild. I read in Adam Nedeff's book TV Game Shows FAQ that both shows had the same qualifying test. If you got a high score, you were considered for Tic Tac Dough. Average scores were considered for The Joker's Wild.

I do remember Thom McKee's incredible run. He won 43 games, eight cars and over $312,000 in cash and prizes. He sold seven of the cars and kept one which he traded for a Cadillac with the license plate TIC TAC.

Another memory of the show was on Friday's when Wink Martindale wore an outrageous hat at the end of the show.
