New Year's Eve coverage: CNN > ABC - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I turned on CNN's New Years coverage near midnight, they are a lot better than ABC has been for awhile. Less commercials, ABC has insisted on going to commercial with less than two minutes til midnight for several years. CNN also showed more of the ball and didn't focus on yapping commentators. Dick Clark's name really should be removed from the Ryan Seacrest show. He has been dead for a few years now, even while living he couldn't do much after his stroke. A true Dick Clark production would be higher quality. I will keep with CNN next year as long as they do not bring back Kathy Griffin as a host.

I liked CNN's coverage. I had no idea who most of the singers were on ABC.

Who else did FOX News? All I remember hearing about was Celine Dion and Neil Diamond.

I missed the days of Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians. My parents in the 1960's listened him. It seems some aspect of Dick Clarks shows have been on forever. When did Dick start 1974? Did Guy die or did he retire when the shows changed.

CNNs coverage was better than that "ROCK N' ROLL NEW YEARS" or whatever that ABC show was called.
