Today I got a game show book called TV Game Shows and it's a book from 1979 and it's written by a woman named Maxene Jabe and it talks about game shows from the 1940's to the 70's and it also features info about game show hosts and tips about contestant behavior during game show auditions and it also talks about how celebrities are chosen to play on game shows too and it features a chapter about the classic game show scandals as well. Black and white photos of each game show set and host are included. Is this book a collector's item for game show fans?

I have had the book for years and the correct name of the author is Maxine Fabe. It was a huge paperback and it came apart after several years.

So I have a very collectible book? That's interesting news to know. Did Maxine Fabe write a second game show book as well because when I got my copy of TV Game Shows it contained lots of game show facts in it

I once had that book myself. Fun to read but rife with factual errors. An example is Fabe in the quiz scandals section mentioning that NBC once had something called "The Edward R. Murrow Show", When did Murrow ever work at NBC? He was at CBS.
