The police in Vinita, Oklahoma believe these notes have pertinent information that could help solve the murders of Danny and Kathy Freeman and the disappearance of their daughter Ashley and her friend Lauria:

Just read the article. One thing that stood out to me was they mention (or imply depending on how you look at it) that only Danny’s skull was found. That might explain to some degree why he was not located in the initial search. But, it poses the question: where is/was the rest of his body? Was it ever located? That could give a new angle to the case.

Of course I am not overlooking the obvious question that is: why were these notes tucked away or hidden away for so long in the first place? Were they innocently misplaced? Or could the theory of the police at the time being somehow involved in the crime or coverup be true?
I mean it’s been almost 20 years, and yet some missing handwritten notes could generate new leads? Why was this info not already entered into the case files and/or evidence? It could be a simple mistake or incompetence, or it could be a coverup. Very strange. |

Interesting article. I'm assuming they released this information deliberately on the anniversary of the girls' disappearances? I do wonder what is in these notes, because it apparently wasn't enough to generate valuable leads at the time. This case has always bothered me—so many unanswered questions.
