Let's not forget that she was a vital part of this show for two seasons and stayed friends with Miss Day to the close of her life! Now, why her character of Myrna Gibbons got dumped along with the characters ofDoris's sons when they decided to remake Doris as 'MISS' Doris Martin, I have no idea (and don't think it was a good turn) but it didn't seem to hurt the performers' friendship!

McLean Stevenson's & Paul Smith's characters were dumped at the same time as Rose Marie's and the kids'. It seems as though there was almost no continuity from Season 3 to Season 4, other than maybe an appearance or 2 by Billy DeWolfe & Doris' landlords (Kaye Ballard & Bernie Kopell).
