I love Michelle Johnson who appeared in Season 8 episodes as Kim the activities director. Why wasn't her character kept for season 9?

I thought she was a lot better than Pat Klous, who was so dull as the cruise director. My guess is that they brought Michelle on because they knew this and wanted to try out a potential replacement. Then they decided the mermaids and Marion Ross would save the show.

I love Marion Ross what a great addition but the mermaids were not. They date the show and I agree Michelle should have replaced Pat. She was seen a lot in her first few episodes but then was a scene filler. She was not great with Julie her TV sister in Trouble in Paradise episode
