Was there a story on Unsolved Mysteries either in the 1989 or 1990 season about a young lady who disappeared back in the 60s and may have went to get an abortion? I remember seeing something back then where the update stated that she went to get an abortion and died either during or after the operation, and she was buried on land near the clinic. Does anyone remember this?

Yes, this is the spooky case of Judith Hines who died in Florida around 1965. The update of the case is that a letter was sent to UM stating that Judith Hines was not alive and had died while in the process of getting an illegal abortion. The note stated that her body had been dumped in Key Biscayne Bay. The police know who the "doctor" was but I don't think they ever located him. I believe the police consider the letter legitimate and the case closed.
The spookiest thing about this case is that phone call the cop received while going to a training halfway across the country, saying, Judith Hines was alive. |
