It seems that all the music was cleared, but two episodes appear to be edited, one from season 5 and one from season 6. Both episodes run only 22 minutes.

No sorry I don't have time for that. It's a good DVD set, but since two episodes appear to be edited it isn't perfect.

They had three different eps. Over the Seasons where they performed/ put on a floor show at a retirement home. Singing, dancing, corny jokes. Kind of like vaudeville type acts!

Even when they didn't have episodes where massive performances happened, there would be occasional episodes where one of the cast members would be listening to music in the background or dancing to music numbers.
I remember an episode where Schneider was singing Raindrops Falling on My Head. The show didn't heavily rely on musics like Happy Day, Mama's Family, Gimme a Break or other shows, but they did need clearances for the music they did use |

In terms of DVD releases, nothing hurt worse than the way Bosom Buddies was released. By replacing the iconic theme song with a lesser known one, they essentially ruined the release.

For One Day At A Time, Shout Factory was able to clear all the music, but they couldn't make sure to get all unedited episodes? This is irritating, but I'm glad I didn't pay over $100 for the DVD set. I bought it for $73, it was the best legitimate deal I could find on line.
At least the season 1-4 episodes all seem to be uncut, those are my favorite seasons. |

Neither one of us were there during the one day at time meeting with Mackenzie Phillips but I am sure that she had a huge influence on the boxsetvl while making sure that all was intact but I wonder how many songs did shout factory get as well as pay for

There's no evidence that any music wasn't cleared.

Shout Factory is one company that I can surely trust whenever it comes to releasing old shows they believe in giving fans what they want although I do not know what song or music was heard in the sitcom because it was mostly known for issues but whatever songs where cleared as well as performed i am happy they did I hope they get Boosum Buddies and whatever else old shows that were released i trust them and Time Life

It was an early season ep. and he was singing it to himself as he was in Ann's apt. fixing something I think? It wasn't like a big staged musical number or anything!
