Default I get LAFF now. It still does not make up for losing Antenna TV.

Comcast did the wise thing, removing the 3rd ION channel and putting LAFF on 250. It is still a poor replacement for Antenna, but at least LAFF is better than Bounce solely by airing Night Court. Grace Under Fire and Cybill I would be interested in seeing more of but they need watchable times. And 3rd Rock from the Sun is coming in January, I still have not seen a new schedule for them. what I would do, probably a lot different from what they will have

5-7AM Movie
7-9AM Movie
9-11AM The Drew Carey Show
11AM-1PM Empty Nest
1-3PM Cybill
3-5PM Grace Under Fire
5-7PM Night Court
7-9PM 3rd Rock from the Sun
9-11PM Roseanne
11PM-1AM That 70s Show
1-3AM Ellen
3-5AM Spin City

I still would much rather have Antenna TV. And other retronets that I would also prefer include Me-TV, Heroes and Icons for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Cozi, Decades, and Buzzr.

Did you ever hear from the affiliate about why they made the Antenna decision?

On the morning it happened they were bragging about expanding Fort Wayne's entertainment options. Technically they are offering one more channel over the air now with dropping Antenna and adding LAFF and Escape. Escape is a totally worthless channel, I don't get it on cable anyway. They should have just added LAFF and kept Antenna where it is. WANE has been trying to get rid of it for over 2 years now. Last I checked, the Facebook post announcing the change had over 120 angry reactions and over 70 sad reactions. Some of the comments (not from the station) defending it said Antenna does not allow local advertising. I don't see how that can be true with all the ads for their main station and shows. Plus preemptions are allowed, they often aired baseball and basketball games. Others claimed Antenna would be expensive to carry but that is horse hockey. In a response to a fan on their page, Antenna said they offer the station to affiliates for free.

Is that schedule for real next year?

I’ll take Laff any day over Antenna. No credit crunch.

Whatever. Antenna has a lot more variety. Your constant complaints about Antenna are bad enough, you continue now on a thread I started where I am clearly not happy about losing the station. I would gladly take your affiliate from you if I could.

No. It is what I would schedule, their actual lineup has not come out yet.

There's local advertising on Antenna TV down here.

Not allowing local ads? That's an out and out lie. Here in Indy there are all kinds of local breaks on Antenna TV. Unless Antenna promotes channel 59 news and local businesses.

I made the schedule in this thread, but it was limited in nature by the lack of variety LAFF has. I stuck to shows that are currently on their lineup, plus 3rd Rock from the Sun, which supposedly will be coming next year.

LAFF seems to have adopted the TV Land (et al) setup of strip programming 2 hours or more of the same program. So they have little room for variety. I counted 7 sitcoms and a middle of the night movie on a weekday.

One problem with this concept is that a little of some of these goes a long way.

I'll be thrilled if Night Court gets pulled.

Laff is okay, but it is a lot of the same stuff. I think the only thing I'd really watch there is Night Court, Empty Nest, and Roseanne. And they run those into the ground.

Antenna def. wins in the variety department.
