Looking for workprints that were floating around in the 1990s

Hi everyone,

I've been collecting workprints since 2007. The first workprint I got was Apocalypse Now and since then I've gotten a big collection. I'm looking for the workprints that were floating around in trading circles back in the 1990's. A lot of those workprints are long gone along with the old traders who have either retired from the scene or had their collection taken away by the MPAA. I'm sure there are people out there who may still have what's missing.

I collect VHS and I had a workprint of SPY KIDS one time.... It was neat seeing junees sister fly over a map!! (Instead of the city they had there in the final movie)

I think I also have a workprint of CONVERGENCE (1999) it has a counter on the screen all thru it..... For the first 20 mins they were transferring in SLP mode and then they switched to SP (Which was even better of course)

I never heard of a Spy Kids workprint floating around. It's probably still out there.

Spy Kids was only a rumored to exist workprint.

The one I had was recorded in SLP mode and not very good video.. (Especially if ya tried to copy to another tape)

The audio was goregous though,best I have ever heard that movie!!

I remember seeing Spy Kids wp on some people's lists on Usenet back in the day. Probably where the majority of these "workprints that were once traded in the 1990s" originated from. Extinct Usenet posts.

There's a bunch of workprints you just don't see anymore. I can imagine that's where many came from.

He has the Crash 1996 workprint and Holy Man workprint along with a few others not seen in the trading circuit that I've been looking for.

That site is like the holy grail. I’m pretty sure that guy used to use the handle Voogoo or Brother Voogoo. I had an email address for him but he never writes back. I think he’s out of the game, honestly.

Yeah most of us have the same stuff. Which is why I branched out in the last two years to more than just workprints and TV Versions. I don't even really collect workprints anymore.

Yeah that guy doesn't trade anymore. If it is indeed Voogoo that is. Just like some other prominent traders stopped trading. Even the workprint collection guy doesn't really trade anymore.
