Default Kirk: I detest this character !

I'm so glad that this character appears in only 2 seasons, tho, lol, that is 2 too many for me!

I don't think he's even remotely funny. Instead, he's selfish, venal, egocentric as well as egotistical. He has little conscience. He lies constantly. I find him sadistic as well.

His character was more annoying than funny. He did get a few laughs during his time on the show. He was one of my least favorite characters.

Agreed. I wonder what Cindy saw in him?

Wavy- indeed! She had to have been a saint!

Lol, funny how the daryls and Larry actually had more customers at the minutemen than Kirk. I can also see why his former girlfriend left he and the cafe high and dry. I'm sure she could see what was down the pike with that douche bag!

Kirk was a great character! He may be hard to get used to, but as the series progresses you get to see more sides to him and he's always a reliable source of laughs, IMO.

As I recall, the severity of his personality was toned down about midway through the first season. He kept enough quirks to make him an interesting sitcom character. He may be egocentric, greedy, etc. but he still had a heart, and that made him an effective character I think.

I think that Kirk was unlikable was the whole point LOL. But yeah definitely too unlikable I was glad when the character was written out of the show too.

I thought Kirk was hilarious. I always liked the character. His manic, ...I don't know what you'd call it, ...obsessive-compulsiveness(?) was a good contrast to Dick's - and George's - relaxed, dry humor.

Were we supposed to believe that Kirk ran the Minuteman Cafe all by himself as waiter, cook, cashier, etc? Were there no customers there when he came over to see Dick?

Michael was a much better character; still egocentric, of course.

I liked Michael initially but I grew tired of him when he became so sappy over Stefanie.

Kirk was pretty good, despite being unlikeable at times.
