Default Group W Productions

I read about a TV production company called Group W Productions and in the TV world they were a huge successful company in TV and Group W Productions produced everything from sitcoms to talk shows and game shows and cartoons too. Group W Productions was owned by White Westinghouse and was best known for having a red W logo first then updated their logo in 1987 with a yellow logo with a background of pink and purple lasers flashing as the logo appeared on the screen. It's really a surprise that Group W Productions hasn't been seen in the TV spotlight producing sitcoms and other shows anymore because Group W Productions was one of the top companies in TV
Did Group W Productions go broke or did another production company buy them?

It seemed that Group W Productions was a huge production company of many sitcoms and game shows and they also are known for producing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon and the cartoon James Bond Jr. Group W Productions produced the game show Every Second Counts and The John Davidson Show too. It's a shame you don't see production companies like Group W Productions anymore that produce quality TV shows because a good production company makes a good TV show successful

The Westington House/Group W used to own the Old Nashville Network then when they merge with CBS then Viacom change the format of Nashville network to National network then to Spike and now The Parmont Network and Luken Communcation purchase the Nashville network name from Viacom and they create a new nashville digital broadcast network then rename it to the current Heartland network

Their most successful show I believe was "The Mike Douglas Show".

When I first got cable TV in the 1980's, the company name was Group W cable. Then some years later, the name changed to Prime cable. Then some years later the name changed again to Comcast.

I liked Group W Cable, I remember being disappointed when Group W became Prime Cable.

I don't remember exactly any more what my monthly bill was when I first got Cable TV, I think maybe it was around $46 or $47 monthly, which was a lot less than the amount I pay now. But now along with the cable service, I also have internet and telephone service, which accounts for part of the higher cost, but the cable service is by far the most expensive of the three. Back when I first had cable TV, that's all it was, just the cable, no internet or phone service.

Group W Productions had it's own cable company called Group W Cable too? What a surprise that was because I never have seen TV production companies have their own cable company before. I first heard of Group W Productions when I first saw their pink and yellow logo and I thought it was neat like flashing lightsabers from Star Wars
