I can't remember what happened either.
Didn't Roseanne and Jackie break into the new place next door when it was closed and basically sabotage the joint? e.g. putting raw Fish inside curtains etc. The show had become ridiculous by this stage. |

Yeah, I got confused by a later episode where Roseanne and Jackie were working in a supermarket handing out food samples. It made me think that they had lost the restaurant. The show did get a little zany in later seasons and could be a tad silly, culminating in that infamous final season. It happens... it must be hard to keep a show fresh when it's close to 10 years old. By season 9 'Frasier' had softened, and there were a lot of sub-standard episodes and scenes through season 10. The so-so episodes dragged down the good ones from those seasons. But, unlike 'Roseanne', 'Frasier' returned to form for it's final season, proving you can go out on a high note even after 11 years. Some of season 11's episodes are the funniest and best written of the show. Roseanne just kind of fizzled. The whole heart attack/fantasy/writing theme was no way to end the series. But then, how would you end it? With the Conner's doing exactly what they did for 9 years? Drink beer, complain about having no money, argue and watch TV? |

Whenever they showed the outside of The Lunchbox they showed this. I wonder who's old car ( An early 60's Ford Falcon, I think?) was that supposed to belong to?

I thought I had read that they gave the restaurant to Nancy after winning the lottery. But I never actually saw that happen.

"Roseanne" is supposed to be coming back... I wonder how they are going to "fix" everything about Season 9 and the finale. Supposedly, the entire show was a book Roseanne had written about her life after Dan died. She changed things about her life that she didn't like or felt should be different: Dan's death, who her daughters married (Becky actually married David, and Darlene actually married Mark), Jackie was actually gay, and the whole winning the lottery business never happened. A lot of people malign the final episode... I admit some of the details that were changed like who was or wasn't gay or who the girls actually married didn't need to be changed... but at it's core, the ending made perfect sense. Now... how to "fix" it for the tenth season? |
