Pamela Anderson Defends her Comments about Harvey Weinstein's Victims
Pamela Anderson Responds to Backlash Over Her Comments about Harvey Weinstein Victims
by Arlene Washington 12/1/17 Pamela Anderson is standing by her statements that women "know what you’re getting into if you’re going into a hotel room alone," made during a Thursday interview on sexual harassment with Megyn Kelly. The "Baywatch" star discussed her own personal experience with abuse on "Megyn Kelly Today" and commented that she was not surprised at the fallout following allegations against Harvey Weinstein. “It was common knowledge that certain producers or certain people in Hollywood are people to avoid, privately," said Anderson to Kelly. "You know what you’re getting into if you’re going into a hotel room alone.” “Don’t go into a hotel room alone," Anderson added. "If someone answers the door in a bathrobe, leave. This is things that are common sense, but I know Hollywood is very seductive and the people want to be famous. Sometimes you think you are going to be safe with an adult in a room. I don't know where this security comes from, but somehow I dodged it all." During her Thursday interview with Kelly, Anderson shared her own experience working with Weinstein, whom she called "very intimidating." Anderson said she was doing a movie with Weinstein where she said, "I can't do the film if there's going to be a dog in the film" which was met with a negative response from Weinstein. Anderson said she received a call from the mogul saying, "You're so lucky that I put you in a film. You're Pamela Anderson. You don't deserve anything. If you don't do this you'll never work in this town again." "I've had some really bad boyfriends and I've never been talked to this way," said Anderson. Anderson posted a response to her interview Friday on Instagram: Quote:
