I recall last year on the week of Thanksgiving, Fidel Castro died.
This year Charles Manson died same week. Anyone notice they have a certain resemblance? People have different feelings about both and I am sure it runs the gamut on both extremes. That's the kind of world it is. But Charles Manson and Fidel Castro had particularly long life spans. I think most people die in their mid 60s. I have heard that Charles Manson was a frustrated music writer and he actually "influenced" some musicians; and before the murders, one of the Beach Boys was reportedly considering collaborating with him . That is my understanding. Of course Manson, being young in 1960s America he got particularly taken up with the Religious Cult scene of that time as well as the music scene of that time. There have been other people who committed atrocious acts against others but Manson really became iconic just like Hitler, not to downplay anything that Manson or any murderer ever did. He spent most of his life in jail. It is interesting to think that probably the guards and inmates he spent time among were not the exact same ones he was among when he was newly in jail. Some other inmates died or were executed. Some guards left or died and there were probably younger prison workers and prisoners around him who were not born when he made the headlines for what would become one of the most famous murders ever. It seems that other murders like Jeffrey Dahmer a man who, back in the early 1990s, killed and literally cannibalized other people, and who himself was murdered in prison, would have become particularly iconic criminals but it seems that Manson being a part of the entire news events of the 1960s just became the face of evil as no other insane, or vengeful person who went on to kill others in cold blood. It is interesting that Charles Manson was never murdered in prison. How many people who enter prison in their 30s live to be in their 80s while still in prison? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Manson |

50 years too late. He should have been executed. Thanks to the liberals for abolishing the death penalty and making us pay to keep this ***** alive all these years.

Why was this posted here? I'm totally unaware of Charles Manson appearing on any sitcoms.
