Was Harry The Hat Gittes a salesman?
In the same episode of Cheers where I found Fred Dryer I discovered that it also guest starred Harry Anderson as Harry The Hat Gittes. And I noticed that Harry was dressed in a salesman's outfit and so it tells me that Harry Anderson's character was a salesman who would occasionally stop at Cheers to try to sell items throughout the show's run
Was Harry Anderson originally gonna be a permanent actor on Cheers but dropped it when Night Court debuted? Bestie |

Nope. He was a conman actually. On his first appearance, Coach wouldn't give him beer because he was considered a flimflammer.
