Default Before I Forget

Anyone see Beaver’s Prep School? There are two really dumb instances that stand out. They are almost bloopers and take place right in the boys’ room.

They just weren’t practical. Beaver plans to go east to school and walks into the room. Wally has rearranged things and moved the desk. He tells Beaver that he’ll have more room when he’s gone and plans to put his bed in storage. Isn’t Wally going to college and live at the frat? In the very next ep he plans to join a fraternity and go to state.

Also he asks Beaver to help him move the tall bookcase and grabs one end. Wouldn’t it be smart to take everything off the shelves? It will be lighter and nothing will fall on the floor. No one moves furniture full of weight.

This reminds me of a Honeymooners episode, where Ralph and Ed need to move the chest of drawers. One of them says they need to take the drawers out. So they take out the drawers and put them on top of the chest, and move it, and celebrate how smart they are.

Yes, this sticks out like a sore thumb. Wally will obviously be away at "State", living at Alpha Kappa, the pig house, fraternity of Mule Saunders, who hit one over the center field fence, and runs beauty parlors.

Very funny about Ralph and Ed moving the chest of drawers. As funny as Ed doing the Hucklebuck and Ralph dressed for golf. “Hello ball.”

The scene where Beaver is trying to tell June about the fraternity being a pig “outfit” is so funny the way he just can’t tell her. Frats back then were maybe wild but by today’s standards they were mild. Alcohol poisoning is dangerous.

And we only got to see Mule’s photo, never in person. I believe in Wally’s Election someone named Horse won class president. Horse, Mule, Tiger Fafara and Beaver Cleaver. Oh Kitty Bannerman. Any other animal names?

This is a little-known fact, (in fact, it may be unknown) but "Chuck" (Bradford, from Wally and the Fraternity) is a nickname for Woodchuck.

Good one! How about when Beaver gets mad at Wally and says Rat Rat Rat. Eddie calls Wally W. Rat Cleaver in Wally’s Test.
