No. The creators did an amazing job of showcasing how Wally, Beaver & other characters in the cast grow-up. They even handled how awkward Jerry became really well. So it was always a hot show from start to finish...

It was a funny show from beginning to end. The style of humor may have changed as the boys matured but it was always good.

Agreed! LITB never jumped the shark! It was always funny !
One later ep. that esp. comes to mind because I just saw it the other day and it is hilarious is "Beavers good deed" ! The bum coming to the door, and Beaver invites him in , gives him something to eat , the bum ends up taking a bath and leaves the house in one of Ward's suits!! The funniest part was when Wally comes home and hears singing coming from upstairs and finds out what is going on. And when Beaver and Wally realize that he did leave in their Dad's suit and go look for him ! Both of them stop the same man on the street who looks like the guy from behind and pretty much say the same thing to the man! "Sorry Mister I thought you were the bum we are looking for! " "Sorry mister, I thought you were the tramp we are looking for " That guy was probably thinking "What the ......." ?

No. Some of the later season episodes are my favorites, especially the Eddie-centric ones.

Bonnie girl: indeed, Wally and beav looking at men who could have been the homeless man in ward's suit just killed me. ( btw, I'd thought some of the men were different guys, but perhaps I'm wrong. I'm not always that sharp on recognition
'Oh I thought you were some old bum' the man looked so put out! |

So many shows jump when they add new characters due to kids growing up (Diff'rent Strokes, for example). It could have happened on LITB, but they instead opted to end the series (I've read that ABC wanted it to continue, in color).
