Default Bob Costas says he expects football to die because it destroys brains

http://www.newsweek.com/nfl-concussi...players-705638

The NBC Football Night in America contributor says: “The whole thing can collapse like a house of cards if people actually begin connecting the dots.”

Football will die because it destroys brains yet MMA has exploded from nothing to surpass boxing in less than 20 years. Ridiculous.

Bob Costas is an idiot. Now the NFL might die a slow death because of many factors but the game of football will go on.

Oh No

Football is dying because it's gone TOO political...and if the NFL has to contract teams...they should suspend operations with teams that haven't been affective for years...

Tennessee Titans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jacksonville Jaguars
Cleveland Clowns

And we'd bring back the Century, Capital, Coastal, and Central Divisions. This is how it would look...

Coastal

New England Patriots
New York Giants
Philadelphia Eagles
New York Jets
Washington Braves (that would be their name under the pressure of name change)
Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins

Central

Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Baltimore Ravens
Detroit Lions
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings
Pittsburgh Steelers

Capitol

Dallas Cowboys
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
New Orleans Saints
Indianapolis Colts
Houston Texans
Arizona Cardinals

Century

Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs
Oakland Raiders
Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Rams
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle Seahawks

Central and Capitol Divisions would be in the NFC and Coastal and Century Divisions would be in the AFC... this would only happen if the NFL can't support 31 Teams and the Clowns...

The Detroit Loins (Lions) have never gone to a Super Bowl, yet you propose getting rid of teams like the Titans and Bucs who have. How does that make sense?

I think Costas is way off. Better space-age protective headgear will be the answer.

The Lions have been around longer than the Titans and the Bucs...but if there's to be a developing league in the NFL...the Titans, Bucs, Jaguars, and the Cleveland Clowns would be part of it. Those four teams would be paired with four other big football cities like Birmingham, Austin, Oklahoma, and San Diego.

I've been boycotting football for awhile since I'm in a city that doesn't have a football team...and no...the Cleveland Clowns do NOT count!

Which four teams would you remove if the NFL had to contract?
